Celeste Chaney is an author and filmmaker. Her stories explore the relationship between humanity and technology, and give voice to traditionally subdued narratives about women, identity, and mental health. A chance encounter at Sundance led Celeste to screenwriting two weeks after she became a mother. The result of that work, her first feature-length script, THE FEED, placed in numerous screenwriting competitions and was optioned by Passage Pictures. The resulting sleep deprivation from that endeavor inspired her short, CRADLE SONG, which she produced and directed in 2019. She has since adapted CRADLE SONG as a psychological thriller feature about a sleep-deprived new mother who becomes convinced that her husband's ex-wife is plotting to steal her baby, which she hopes to direct next year.
