Feature Campus

write a new feature film screenplay, develop skills, and master a process to create story

applications are OPEN. Apply here.

Led by Stowe Story Labs Co-Founder David Pope, the program is suited for writers wanting to write a new feature film screenplay.

Writers may have experience writing short films, projects in other mediums (short stories, novels, plays, etc.), or have written a feature screenplay before, and are now looking to develop their process experientially through writing a new project. It is not designed for workshopping existing feature film projects.

this sixteen-week program consists of:

  • Twelve, three-hour online sessions per week (participants should plan to allocate appropriate writing time to meet program deadlines)

  • Three separate one-on-one meetings at key points in the process with David Pope

  • Building stories from a character-centered approach focusing on internal conflict as the touchstone for development

  • By the end of the sessions, writers will have written a first draft, a logline, and a synopsis of a new narrative feature script
