MENTORS:
Austin Chick: For over a decade he’s been writing, directing, and producing critically acclaimed films.
Luke Durett is a screenwriter and Director of Development at David Magee’s company, Brass Mantle Entertainment. Prior to joining Brass Mantle, Luke worked in the Development Department at DreamWorks Animation.
Jonathan Gray is a practicing attorney since 1990, Jonathan is a dedicated advocate for emerging and established producers, production entities, directors, writers, financiers and distributors in film, television and other media. Jonathan is an adjunct professor at Columbia University and has produced and executive produced over 40 independent films.
Elizabeth Kaiden: Currently serves as Head of Development for Tangerine Entertainment, a NY film production company dedicated to producing films directed by women. She is a co-founder of IRIS and The Writers Lab for women over 40, and has evaluated scripts for a wide range of festivals and companies.
Peter Katz is an award-winning producer/manager. As a producer, he has worked with everyone from filmmakers Tobe Hooper(POLTERGEIST, THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE) to Adam Wingard (THE GUEST, Netflix’s DEATH NOTE).
Morgan Long: A native Texan got her start in television at Televisa USA in scripted development. She recently founded her own management company, Requiem Entertainment, which focuses primarily on television writers and directors.
Chris Millis is a bestselling author, screenwriter, producer, and cartoonist whose film Small Apartments debuted at the SXSW Film Festival and is distributed by Sony Pictures. Chris is Chair of Writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design and is represented in L.A. by Anonymous Content.
Molly O’Keefe: Director of Scripted Programs at the Tribeca Film Institute (TFI). Prior to joining TFI, Molly was the Director of Development and Production at Sundance Productions where she developed series for CNN, FX, HBO, Ovation, EPIX, Sony and Paramount.
Ellen Parks: Ellen has over thirty years of professional casting experience. In Fall 2014 she joined the adjunct faculty at NYU Tisch at the Stonestreet Studio, an advanced screen acting conservatory that delivers a full on-set experience, including directing, screenwriting, and film/TV production.
Mark Piznarski: Mark is a prolific award winning director who has shot over 20 television pilots. Long-running series to his credit include, Everwood, Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, 90210, In Plain Sight and The Lying Game.
David Rocchio: Rocchio divides his life between law / strategy consulting and writing / film. The two sides meet at the Labs, which he founded and runs. He has made two award-winning short films and has optioned 3 feature scripts. He co-produced the top-rated Channel 4 Documentary, THE GUN SHOP.
David Pope: is a screenwriter, director and script consultant. His development work includes the post of annual consultant / moderator for the Rotterdam International Film Festival’s Producers Lab at CineMart. Alongside rewrite commissions, David is currently in final development with his feature film THE BELONGING.
